Locking Preschool has an exciting opportunity within its management team. We are looking for a Deputy Manager minimum of 28 hours per week to be part of an outstanding provision.

 

The successful candidate will be a strong team leader who has an early years and child development level 3 or above, practical experience of working within Early Years and a sound understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage, SEND, Safeguarding, paediatric first aid.  They will need to be reliable, have a good attention to detail as well as demonstrate good initiative. Experience of working within management would be advantageous.

We have a current vacancy for a level 3 Keyworker within our team. 4 days per week, (TERM TIME ONLY)

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the EYFS framework and how this is to be applied to the children in our setting, essential qualities will include: hard working, team player and well motivated.

Safer recruitment procedures are followed. An enhanced DBS check will be required and two references.

Locking Preschool offers a high staff to child ratio. We have a team of highly qualified and motivated staff who have worked together for many years. Many of our staff have achieved an NVQ Level III or equivalent.  Our entire team, including admin staff are trained in Paediatric First Aid and 3 of the team are trained in anaphylaxis. All Locking Preschool staff, bank staff, volunteers  and committee members have been DBS checked this academic year 2019/2020 in line with recommendations of best practice.

 

The team at Locking Preschool  are well established within the community of Locking village, Weston-super-Mare. Locking Preschool has been established since 1968 - that's  52 years now as a community preschool!!!

BTEC Level 3 Advanced in Forest School Leader.

FA Level 1 football coach.

Neglect and self harm training.

Anaphylaxis training.
